Today, it has been announced that the Lionesses will be making a further visit to Wembley this year. With their final home fixture of the UEFA Women's Nations League against Portugal being the chosen fixture.

This game is set to be played on Friday 30th May with a 7:45 kick off. This will be the fifth game of their Nations League campaign with further fixtures both home and away against Spain, Belgium and Portugal set to be played across the three international breaks in February, April and May.

The game against Portugal will be the first meeting against the two since their 0-0 draw in 2023 in Milton Keynes just before the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

This fixture accompanies the already announced Wembley game against the World Champions, Spain, that is due to kick off on the 26th of February.

The game against Portugal will be the fourth match the Lionesses have played there this season with the other 2, being the 7 goal-thriller against Germany and the goalless draw against Emma Hayes’ Olympic Champions.

When asked about this exciting opportunity, Sarina Wiegman said; “Wembley Stadium has become a special home to the Lionesses. To play our final home game of the Nations League here whilst both the team and the fans are gearing up for the Euros makes it even more exciting.”

Their final home fixture of the Nations League comes just over 4 weeks before the Euros kick off in Switzerland on the 2nd of July.

It is sure to be an unmissable game and the perfect way to prepare for the tournament this Summer to defend their European title.

Wiegman also added, “The support is always fantastic in our ‘home’ and I hope we can count on the support of our fans again and finish in style.”

To support Sarina Wiegman’s wishes, Lionesses fans will be able to purchase tickets for the big Wembley showdown from Tuesday 18th February until Sunday 23rd February for My England members and then will be available on general sale on Monday 24th February.

Additionally, another stadium has been announced for the home game against Belgium on the 4th of April. This is due to be played at Ashton Gate in Bristol, with Wiegman stating, “We’re also looking forward to returning to Bristol. Taking the team across country is always important to us and we had a great experience last time we played there.”

The game at Ashton Gate will be "another celebration of women’s sport" as Wiegman added. And tickets to this celebration will be available for My England members from Tuesday 4th February until Thursday the 6th of February, before general sale on Friday the 7th of February.
