Birmingham City Women are a household name that were in the top flight of women's football (Barclays Women's Super League) for 11 years until their relegation to the Championship in the 2021-22 season.
Their first season in the Championship, Birmingham City narrowly missed out on promotion, finishing in second place, just one point behind league winners Bristol City. In the 2023-24 season the team finished mid-table in 5th place with 36 points.
Currently in the 2024-25 season, Birmingham City are topping the table with 29 points after 14 matches played, 9 wins, 2 draws and 3 losses. With six matches left until the end of the season, it's looking to be tight at the top of the Championship table with London City Lionesses only one point behind and on one less match played.
Durham are also not far behind either, with 26 points on 14 matches played. The final game of the season for Birmingham City will be a home face-off against London City Lionesses. This could be the title decider however it is still all to play for the likes of Charlton Athletic and Bristol City who are both on 24 points with 13 matches played.
