Barcelona's journey to the UEFA Women's Champions League Final

Barcelona are the team everyone wants to beat. After lifting the UEFA Women’s Champions League trophy in the past two seasons, they have once again shown their authority in women’s football by reaching yet another final.
With world class players such as Aitana Bonmati and Alexia Putellas, Barcelona haven’t just dominated on the pitch as a team, they also have individual accolades.
Both midfield maestros have claimed the Ballon D’Or twice in recent years, stamping their names in history as well as underlying there status as the best in the world.
Their journey to glory once again is no surprise, during the 2021-2022 season, they won the Champions League after an impressive 4-0 win over Chelsea, a side who have dominated women’s football in England over the past few years.
Now Barcelona have reached the Champions League final for the sixth time in the last seven seasons, an impressive feat that reflects there consistency and dominance.
In this season's semi-final, they beat Chelsea once again; a 4-1 win in the first leg before delivering an identical score once again in the second leg. This resulted in an incredible 8-2 triumph on aggregate.
Renowned for their high pressing, intricate passing and dominant possession, Barcelona continue to set the standard in women’s football, and they will be looking to do it once again in the 2025 final.
Kick off for Arsenal vs Barcelona is on Saturday 24th May at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon, Portugal at 5pm local time.
